| Qubiqa has developed a fully automatic warehousing
system (deep warehouse) for pallets, which are handled
via transfer vehicles and "channel vessels", which are
built onto the transfer vehicle. The transfer vehicle is
driven into crane corridors (often mounted on a crane)
and from there, the channel vessel is sent into the
shelf in order to place or collect pallets. The
extremely compact channel warehouse is particularly
well-suited to warehousing systems for pallets, where
relatively few article numbers are handled in large
quantities with a high turnover rate.
This type of warehouse does not require major
investment, as the cranes/transfer vehicles/channel
vessels can be dispatched into ordinary warehouse
shelves. |
